In 2002 Dave Rodgers attended a gig in Derby to watch a live act called Deprogrammed. A few weeks earlier the Asian MC of the crew had a heard a beat crafted by Dave and wanted to meet the man. Almost two years later Jalporte, having taken some time out from music, went back to the beat. That beat was turned into 'Redpill' and was to become the first track from Jalporte's debut solo EP, Farewell Aquarius.
Following the success of that track, Jalporte returned to Dave to ask for more. He came away with 'Sunny Day', a track which would act as their springboard.
Farewell Aquarius was released in October 2005 and gained repeated airplay from the BBC and many other stations in the U.K.
In 2005 Jalporte and Dave hooked up and made the decision to release a combined effort called The Limited Edition Mix tape. This would be Dave's first solo venture but would also feature Jalporte's vocals at the helm. Due to the vast and unending work ethic of Dave and the fact Jalporte moved at such a high rate, the natural step was for the two to produce a symbiotic live show.
In 2007 the boys act finally came together under the new banner of Predator Prey.
Predator Prey is a new style of thinking that aims to set standards and be regarded as the hardest working name in the industry. As Predator Prey Jalporte and Dave watch, analyze and learn to see where to hit the industry best. If you have a jugular vein they will find it.
In 2008 Jalporte collaborated with producer Ben Fawce and provided vocals for the track Onyx lined up for release on Urban Sickness Audio.
With further collaborations in the pipeline the boys are already adding another layer to the trade mark sound of Urban Sickness Audio.
